Wednesday evening class - The last time at Taggs

We are sorry to leave Taggs, but we really do need more room! So it's every wednesday evening now at our little hall at Higham. No more special coffee's I hear you cry, well we have got some special coffee sachets instead, next best thing, plus, don't forget you get cakes at Higham!

Anyway, tonight we made another acetate card, this time using the butterfly flower from the lovely Stampin' Up set. Also we made a fairy scene using stamps by Katie Sue Designs, bought at Biggin Hill. Unfortunately it is hard to see how pretty the acetate cards are when the light is on them, nevermind, they were!
Saturday 20th May - Biggin Hill

A few of us went to the Sincerely Yours craft show at Biggin Hill, apart from a disastrous drive there due to Pauline's sat nav not agreeing with mine Lol, we had a lovely day and of course spent lots of money.
Friday 18th May - All day Craft

What a day ! It was really good. The two projects made were a beautiful delicate gift box/card, suitable for ear-rings or something small and a gift basket, ideal for bath stuff, sweeties etc.,Every one was absolutely brilliant. We think everyone was happy with what they made. Here is a selection of the lovely boxes and baskets.

Tuesday 15th May

Friday 11th May

Lesley, the Stampin' Up demonstrator came and we did a make and take. We are so impressed with their products that we have decided to become demonstrators ourselves so as we can get the products for the class - hopefully! So we will be doing a lot more cards using the lovely stamps with co-ordinating papers and inks from Stampin'Up, which you will then be able to buy. We are really looking forward to getting into that soon. We will be getting the catalogues for you in a week or so.

Friday 4 May 2012

Our entrants for the 2012 Miss Higham contest

A lovely picture of Eileen and Janet with their lilac heart cards, and the two Lesleys with their fairy at her dressing table cards. Aren't they lovely (the cards that is!)
Next week on friday we have another Lesley from Stampin Up coming to do a demo for us and show all her company's latest products.

Tuesday class

Tuesday afternoon tea

Today after class we went for afternoon tea at Dobbies new garden centre, Gillingham. It was a sort of celebration but also just because we wanted too! Our club has been running now for 5 years. Not bad eh? We still have almost all our original members including Lesley S, and Eileen W who are in the lovely pictures taken at Dobbies that day.
