Well girls, have you even half recovered? What a nice hotel, food was really good too. What a nice sunday lunch, that was unexpected. Don't know if we will get that next time though ! We hope you were pleased with what you made. Personally I don't care if I never see another black cab lol. Audrey was obviously a taxi driver in a former life. We are looking at the 2nd November for the next sleepover at the same venue.
Anyway, dates for your diary provisionally, starting with panto, yes already, it's Cinderella with Bradley Walsh (love him) on Thursday 19th December. Tickets are £34 adult and concessions £22.50. We will need to know a.s.a.p. so as we can get good seats again. Then there's Christmas dinner, once again at the Sans Pareil, on Monday 16th December. Names needed for that too please.
A bit sooner than that we have our next all day class on Friday 14th June.
Until next time I leave you with some pictures from the sleepover, and we would like to thankyou all for making it such a success.
Thanks for tuning in.
We are a group of friendly crafters who enjoy card making, scrap booking and learning all the various techniques, whilst drinking tea, coffee and eating home made cakes! We started almost five years ago and meet several times a month. We think our ladies are very special and that is the secret of our success - a lovely group of like minded people. There's always a warm welcome for newbies.

Easter
Hi Ladies,
well its upon us, Easter that is, although it seems more like Siberia than UK. Never mind we should be used the ridiculous weather by now. Hope all of you are having a nice break with family and friends. I can't wait to get back to normal, I don't want to shop but I don't like the fact that I can't cos it's Easter.
I have actually been crafting franticly to get ready for our sleepover weekend. It will be brill ! I would ask that all of you coming would remember the following : New blades in craft knives, they will need to be sharp, glue guns and glue sticks if you have them, hougie or other scoring boards.Clean underwear (incase of fire), any necessary medication, and your purse for the bar, raffles etc.,
It will be better than last time, and if I forget anything Len will be at the end of the phone, engine running lol.
By the way, we can't have the hall on Tuesday April 16th so we are having an extra class on the Friday (19th) to compensate for Tuesday ladies. Any Friday ladies that would like to come could they let us know.
Thanks for tuning in and Happy Easter to you all from Pauline and Irene

Did you spot the picture of Molly my tri-legged puss? I thought I would put that in as a red herring, to see if you read it properly ! Also a couple of pics of fridays masterpieces.
By the way, thanks Jenny for the surprise birthday cakes, they were lovely. Also great to see our Debbie back, walking really well after having her knee amputated lol.
That's all for now, thanks for tuning in.

Awesome Birthdays !
Hi everyone, it's that time again. Firstly, Pauline and I would like to thank you all for the amazing cards you gave us for our birthday. We were totally overwhelmed by the high standard. We must be doing something right ! They really had the 'wow' factor. I left mine up for over a week. I have attached some pictures of them, hope I got them all in, after several re-arrangements I think I did. Pauline also took some pics of hers, together they are a fantastic example of your talents. Thanks.

February classes
Hi everyone,
it is sooo cold and there is some fluffy snow about. I swear the flakes are the size of saucers ! We do appreciate that you make the effort in this weather to come to classes. It's hard to venture out when it is so warm indoors. Hopefully spring will soon be here. Lesley B ensures me it will, such an optimist lol.
Only a week to go till the Farnborough show, it seems ages since the last one. No show at Bluewater but Biggin Hill is on the 16th May.
Please let us know what you would like to see in our shop and we can look for new things at the show.
We have joined a craft book club, so you will be seeing some nice ones in our raffles and possibly in the shop later on.
So here are a few pictures from the last couple of classes. There was no class on wednesday before last as the church needed the hall, so the ladies who usually come that evening decided they would like to do something. So we went for a meal at Woodlands in Gravesend. We had a really good evening and the food was good too. Especially the profiteroles - enough said !! We are looking at the possibility of all going for a meal one evening as it was such a success. Probably in the better weather.

Get well Eileen P
Our Eileen has been very poorly the last few weeks . Pauline and I and all the class would like to wish her a speedy recovery. We want you back in class Eileen, get well !
Catching up
Hi everyone. To start with, we are sadly losing one of our ladies, Carole Dick. She has been coming for some time now, but her circumstances mean she can no longer come to classes. We will miss her bubbly personality. I hope if you read this Carole, you will continue reading our blog.
Our all day class went well as usual, although we did miss Debbie and Sue. Pictures to follow. Also it was nice to see Janet back last tuesday after her operation, she looked really well. Hopefully soon Debbie will have recovered from hers, although she has had a lung infection, so get well soon Debs.
On a sad note, Joan Lewins' funeral was on the 5th. Apparently the service was very nice and extremely well attended. No surprise there, she was a really lovely lady and we will miss her. It was nice that it was mentioned that she had made many new friends since coming to our classes.
So, the next event is our trip to Farnborough on the 2nd March, can't wait !!
Thanks for looking, back soon.

At long last Pauline has sorted me out with uploading these pictures! They're not brilliant but I think my infamous photographic skills are only surpassed by my computer skills lol. Oh well they are here now.
Since our last blog we have three new ladies, one on tuesday, Barbara, Lesley and Jennys' friend Lesley (yes another Lesley) and Lindas' friend Chris, both on friday. We would like to welcome them to our little group, and hope they enjoy our classes.
Hope to be back soon, thanks for looking.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Hi Ladies,
Well it's a little way into 2013 but happy new year to all of you. Unfortunately it has been a sad start to the year. Most of you will know by now that our dear Joan Lewin passed away last weekend. Although she had been ill for some time it was still a shock. Pauline and I would like to say what a pleasure it was to have known Joan. She was a lovely lady, always cheerful and had a wonderful sense of humour, especially where her crafting was concerned. We called her Mrs Trimmit, as she liked to keep evening up edges untill they almost disappeared ! It was a standing joke. Her and Joan (Bowler) would take the mickey out of each other and were always laughing. Joan had the ability to laugh at herself. We will miss her so much. Our condolances go to her family.
On a brighter note, Jenny had a special birthday just after christmas, and her family and friends arranged a surprise party. It was a smashing evening and I do believe Jenny actually enjoyed it too. There are a couple of not very good pictures attached !
We have lots of nice things planned for this year including our sleepover and 4 all day crafts throughout the year. The dates for these are as follows:
8th February all day class
2nd March craft show at Farnborough/ Quiz nite in the evening at our old hall
13th April Sleepover at Bridgewood Manor
14th June all day class
9th August all day class
29th November all day class
The all day classes will always be on a friday. There will be other events which we will update you with as and when they are decided. Definately panto again lol.
So I will leave you with those dates for your diary.
Thanks for visiting our blog.
P.S. Having problems with pictures but will add them later - sorry I am sooo non-technical !
